It seems to me that this image has a very Ophelia-esque sort of vibe to it. There's a strong sense of melancholy in her pose and in what we can see of her expression, and the streamers of red and drops of blood falling down from the blossom she's holding hint at some sort of tragedy in her life. At least that's how it seems on first impressions. The blue circle of the moon above her and the rather bleak and colorless surroundings only serve to enhance this feeling. Nevertheless, it's a very beautiful image, in its somber way, and she is quite a lovely girl. I love the way her long red hair is streaming down over her shoulders, mimicking the blood flowing between her fingers. There's an elegance and a sense of vulnerability to her that's very compelling, I think, too.

You've done a gorgeous job with this piece, and it's really neat to see you attempt a traditional piece like this. I'd love to see you do more, if the mood strikes you. While I think that digital and traditional are both equally valid, and I support artists choosing whichever they're more comfortable with, it's always neat to see people try something different once in a while. You've done a beautiful job with the coloring on this, particularly on her hair and the ribbons/blood in her hands, and the detail you've put into this is just lovely. Great work all around!
