Morning
0800 Hours


A phone rang loudly, waking up a sleeping human from his light sleep. The groggy human began reaching for his phone on the nightstand, patting his hand for the phone until he found it. After that, he picked up the phone and answered it without looking at the caller ID being too lazy, luckily for him, it was a familiar voice. “Heya hun, sorry to call you on your day off.” It was Tanya. “But you’re needed in the office, there’s someone here for ya, they asked for you here, personally.” Rev barely waking up sat up in his bed a little but intrigued, then replied. “Well, that’s not too new I suppose, but alright. I’ll be there in 10” “Cool. See you in a bit.” Tanya then hung up, leaving Rev again to this own accord. “Who on earth would want to see me? Let alone request it?” As Rev was thinking on possible people, the human got out the bed and began putting on his usual things. A pair of handcuffs, his shoulder holster and current sidearm, and of course, his badge, which he usually wore around his neck, but sometimes on his belt. As for clothes, Rev passed out in his clothes from the day before, so he just went in that, jeans and a generic t-shirt. Making his way down the steps and towards the garage, Rev was still trying to think who it could possibly be, but still to no avail, and eventually, gave up. Passing by the kitchen, he grabbed a granola bar and a bottle of water for the trip to the work. Making his way into the garage, Rev got into his car, and started it up, all while remotely opening the garage door.

Waiting for a bit for the car to warm up, Rev looked through his phone to see if he missed any messages and to catch up on any messages if possible. Thankfully for him, there were none for Rev to reply to, except for one asking if he wanted to look at a deal that popped up from a webstore he was registered to. Putting his phone away, Rev proceeded to back out his car, close the garage, and drive off to work. What was awaiting Rev however, was gonna be far from normal.

-20 minutes later-

Pulling up the handbrake parking his car in the lot in front of the station, Rev saw Tanya outside, looking like she was waiting for Rev. Seeing this, Rev opened his door to his car and waved his hand into the air, catching the ferrets attention. “You’re a little late Rev!” Tanya said walking towards his car. Rev chuckled “Well, nice to see you too Tanya.” Rev getting out his car, proceeded to lock it and meet up with Tanya. As Rev met Tanya halfway, they both fistbump greeted eachother, and proceeded to walk towards the station. “So, who’s this person that wanted to see me personally?” Rev asked. “Uhhh, some lady, I don’t remember her name, she does however, know you from a while back apparently.” Tanya replied. “Huh, is that so? I honestly can't think of many people who would know me from a while back here, but I guess there’s only one way to find out I suppose.” Rev said opening the door and letting Tanya in first. “Indeed. Speaking of which, she’s in your office.” Tanya said going inside. Rev hearing this decided to go straight there. “Alrighty then, guess i’ll catch you around bud!” Rev said, about to part ways with Tanya to head to his office. “Seeya!” Tanya smiled and waved before going off to do her own thing.

After this, Rev proceeded to his office wondering who it was that wanted to see him. As Rev got to his door, he could see the faint outline of the person inside though the frosted glass on the door. Rev exhaled and proceeded to open the door gently as to not scare the person inside. “Hello there, sorry i’m late, traffic and all that. I was told that-” As Rev turned around after closing the door, he suddenly froze mid-sentence and in place for a bit. The person who wanted to see him was a shark. A female one at that, red hair tied in a ponytail, yellow scales, and those familiar piercing green eyes. Very tall and well built by the looks of it, despite being in the chair and wearing a loose fitting jacket with what looked like a uniform underneath it all. Rev had a slight fear of sharks after seeing so many movies of sharks eating people as a kid, so this situation wasn’t helping. After gulping, Rev continued his sentence. “Y-you wanted to see me?” Rev said, hurriedly sitting down at his desk. After a brief moment of silence, the shark finally spoke up. “Yes. I did in fact want to see you. You… You may not remember me, but I remember you, you saved me from the machine that one night. On the night of March 23, 2006. Im Tori. The shark you saved, and… accidentally sanded you a bit? Sorry about that again.” The shark said holding out her hand to shake. Rev still a bit lost hearing all this got back to his senses and shook the sharks hand. It was a bit warm, and in some ways, a bit smooth, like plastic, but also a bit abrasive at some certain angles. She also seemed to have a set of claws going on. Already making the nervous human even more so. “I-im Rev, nice to meet you.” Rev said in response.

Rev continued “I-i am in fact beginning to remember you. You were indeed that shark I somehow managed to get off that machine that night before… The slime. And getting sanded a little” Rev said chuckling nervously. Tori chuckled a little as well and responded. “Yeah, just a bit. Whatever happened to that creep anyways?” Rev looked at the shark and replied. “Ah, before the case was taken over by the uh…” Rev’s voice trailed off trying to remember the organizations name. “C.S.C?” The shark interjected. “Yeah! The C.S.C. Before the C.S.C. took over the jurisdiction of the case, last I heard, he was to be taken to some maximum penitentiary, or something like that. And his freakish equipment to be transported to some place for storage and all that.” As Rev finished his sentence, he noticed the sharks body language changed to a bit more… Apologetic, rather than relaxed earlier; at the mention of the group, and what they did. This detail made Rev realized and then ask. “Speaking of which… How’d you remember that detail? Cause in the papers, there was no mention of the group. Just them saying, it was just some... Decrepit party gone bad and all that. And as far as I remember, only those first responding knew the details, there was no mention to civilians.” Tori responded “Well, overhearing their name while you walked in with that police chief, was a pretty good clue hun” Rev hearing this sat back in his chair while putting his hand on his chin and mumbled. “That and… I also work for them” Tori added in. Rev immediately shot up in his chair at the statement and immediately stammered, surprising the shark. “Y-you work- Hold on.” Rev immediately got up from his desk, went to his door and locked it, respectively, getting a slightly cautious response from Tori. “What are you doing?” Little to Rev’s knowledge, Tori was reaching for her sidearm. Rev made his way to his cabinet. “I'm just clearing up some old files i've had for a while Tori, no need to worry.” After a few seconds of looking, Rev finally found the file and went back to his deck and opened the file in front of Tori.

Tori looking at the file, just saw a piece of paper and some very muddy photos of the scene from that day, the quality of the photos looking like something from an old phone, and not a professional camera, one Rev had that day. “I took some photos in secret on my phone that night, even after my cameras pictures were destroyed. Ever since that day, i’ve been curious on who the C.S.C. was, I wasn't obsessed mind you, just something I looked into on my spare time is all. Even… If i was told to stop, heh. This is all i’ve had all those years, if anything, i’m surprised you still remember me.” Rev said looking at his file. “Yeah… we’ve kept a personal tab on you as well actually, ever since that day, what you did to that scientist and what you told my partner lenora and all that, you seemed like someone who we’d keep tabs on here and there.” Tori said. “Huh. well, I guess that’s something I suppose… Oh! Of course, that’s why you’re here! Why did you want to see me again? And… if I may ask… What does C.S.C stand for?” Rev asked. “Well, this has been going on for a few years and well, after a bit, its become a bit of a concern and I was hoping you’d help look into it, our organization doesn't really look into personal matters, but people like you can. And it’s that case, I need your help, it also has to deal with that day in march of 06’ and all that.” Tori answered seemingly sidestepping Revs other question, much to Revs secret disappointment. “Ahhh, I see. And there’s something you want me to look into and report to you?” Rev said trying to mask his slight disappointment. “Yes, that is indeed the case. All I can tell you is that uhh… A few friends of mine have gone missing and I was hoping you could look into it and hopefully find them. Thing is, this needs to be kept in the down low, and if you do find them. Contact me immediately, no one else.” Tori said calmly but sternly. “Sure, I can do that for ya, but the thing is, how can I contact you? Do you even have a number I can contact you by?” Rev asked a little lost at the situation. “Here.” The shark said reaching for something in her coat. “Take this.” She said handing a phone to Rev. Looking at the phone for a bit, hesitated a little, and then proceeded to grab the phone.

“An actual phone, alrighty.” Rev said looking at it and then fiddling with it a bit. “It’s a modified sat phone, only makes and receives calls from pre-programmed numbers. This is how you contact me hun. Just press number one then call, that’s how you contact me on a secure line no one can trace or tap into.” Rev hearing all that made him a little nervous and proceeded to ask. “A sat phone? As in satellite phone? Secure lines? What on earth is going on here Tori? This feels like some secret spy business, or some sort.” The shark looked at Rev for a bit and proceeded to answer. “For now, just… Take my word for it. The less you know the better, and maybe in due time, i’ll tell you the whole situation. But for now, this is all you need to know.” Rev would normally push a bit for more information, but considering this is a shark he’s talking to, his phobia takes over a little and keeps quiet. Instead, asks on possible locations where her friends may be. “Okay, so uh… Do you have any possible last known, or possible current locations of your friends?” Tori replied immediately. “Yes! A few of them in fact. Do you have a pen and paper by any chance?” Rev immediately responded by acquiring said items. “Indeed I do, here you go.” As Rev handed the shark the pen and paper, he began to fiddle with the phone with it a bit before asking. “So, this phone only makes and receives calls, only from you?” Tori while writing down the info she wanted to give Rev answered. “Yeah, but there's also 4 additional numbers that can be contacted if needed, all people I know personally in the C.S.C and in S.C. All knowing my situation as well, so there’s no worry there. But, hopefully it doesn't get to that.” Rev hearing this just nodded and proceeded to put the sat phone in this pocket, any more questions, and he might lose track of himself.

As Rev did this, Tori finished writing down what she needed and slid the piece of paper pack to Rev. “Here you go hun, some locations of their possible whereabouts and or current locations.” Rev ready to go grabbed the paper and looked at the possible locations and read them to himself while going to the door to unlock it. “Abandoned tenant housing complex, Sharp’s storage units, and...” As Rev got to the door and unlocked it, he was lost with the last one. “...One one three… Six five… Tori, are these coordinates?” Rev said to the shark. “Yeah, indeed those are, got them from a mysterious letter telling us about the possible whereabouts of my… Missing friends.” Tori said. “Hmm, gotcha, i’ll visit the one with coordinates first, the other two I pass by or have been to before in the past.”
“Thanks hun.” Said Tori in response. “No problem bud. If i find anything in these three locations, i’ll let you know.” And with that, the shark proceeded to leave Revs office and eventually, the station. As Rev watched the mysterious shark from his past leave once again, Rev looked down at the paper again and was greeted with a little suprise making the human ecstatic. “Also, the C.S.C. stands for Cephaeon Specialist Corps. Don’t go spreading it around hun.” Seeing this Rev finally felt relieved to know what this mystery group was, and to add to that, unwittingly save one of its members in the past. Rev wanted to celebrate but knew he had a job to do, and with a missing body involved, there was no time to waste.

Rev proceeded to write down the name of the now named, secret organization. After that, he proceeded to a quick profile, then hide the file once again in his file cabinet, and got his GPS unit to get to the coordinates listed in the paper. As Rev proceeded to close the door in his office, a familiar voice came out to Rev catching him off guard. “So, who was that?” Rev immediately turned around to meet Tanya once again. “Oh… Uh…” Rev remembered the request Tori asked of him and so had to think of something that would satisfy Tanyas quriosity. “Just one of my old victims I helped in the past coming by to say hi and thank me.” Tanya looked for a bit and then replied. “Oh nice, that’s cool to hear! Cool to see people thankful here and there.” Rev nodded in agreement. “Anyways, where you heading off to now? Your technically still off and all that.” Rev had to think of something nonchalant. “Oh! Just going somewhere is all!” Rev wanted to slap himself on the head for that response, seeing as he could’ve said he was going home. “Oooh, thats cool. “Luckily for you I have somewhere to be, otherwise i’d pester ya to come along with ya” Tanya said playfully punching Revs shoulder. Rev chuckled.“Well, next time let me know if you are free, we can hang out again like usual, blow something up or something” Rev said playfully punching back. Rev and Tanya had a lot in common, from interests in firearms, to creating things, to downright blowing stuff up, with Tanya always like things a bit extra when it came to the latter. This was the reason why they managed to become fast friends despite an initial rocky start. “Will do Rev. Anyways, catch ya around.” As Tanya proceeded to go off again towards another case she had at the time, Rev exhaled greatly and thought to himself. “Thankfully she had somewhere to go, especially at a time like this.”

Rev thanking his immense luck, began to go on his own way, and to find the sharks friends. As the human got out the station he proceeded to fill in the coordinates into the GPS unit he brought with him and pressed enter. As he got his car, the GPS came to life and proceeded to show him a route for him to take to get to his destination. It was an estimated thirty minute drive and so, Rev knew he was about to go in a little trip. Rev got into the car and proceeded to start it up. Placed a cassette in his personal player and pull out from the parking lot and towards his destination. On the way there, Rev decided to test out the SAT phone and see if it would work and all that. Looking at the dial pad, he pressed one and presses call just like Tori said. Putting the phone on loud speaker and placing it in a cup holder as a makeshift phone holder, a few rangs came through and much to Revs relief, voice came over the speaker. “Hello? Rev? Is this you? Did you already find them?” Tori asked almost sounding surprised. “No, not really, just on the way there, just testing out this neat little gadget you gave me, see if it worked. Looks like it does!” After Rev said this, a few moments of silence passed before the shark said something. “Listen hun, I don’t want to sound mean and all, but if you can, only call me if you find them or if its an emergency. Okay?” Rev responded. “Sure thing! I understand, i’ll leave you be then, if I find them, i’ll be sure to call you again.” “Thanks hun.” Tori responded and hung up the phone. After this, Rev chuckled to himself and proceeded to drive to the coordinates the GPS told him to go, wondering if this destination was gonna be a correct call the first time.

A familiar sergal driving the SUV proceeded to ask her partner next to her. “Tori, I know you have your reasons for doing the things you do, but im gonna ask. Do you really think trusting a human you only saw years back save you from that damned contraption that one night; for something like this, is really a good idea?” The shark looked out the window for a bit and proceeded to answer. “I… I don’t know Lenora, he was one of the only ones who was there directly, and managed to keep what happened that day a secret and all that. That and for the fact, came clean to you directly when you proceeded to debrief him that night, despite being told to lie from the chief themselves, and… Doesn't know about… Her.” Lenora paused for a bit, inhaled, then asked the dreaded question. “And… What if he eventually does? Heck, the only reason why you even had those possible locations for those… Others based off you and all that. Is cause of her. Tori, if this all goes wrong, you would have essentially sent that poor human to a death sentence for all you know. Exhaling, she paused for a bit before answering. “Look… Lets just hope if he does find one of them, he’s safe, and after we pick them up, ill tell him everything. However he reacts afterwards, i’ll understand wholeheartedly.” After a little silence between the two, Lenora spoke up. “All right, let’s both hope nothing goes wrong, and after that, we'll see what we do from here on out.” Tori nodded in agreement. “Aye, lets do that.” After a but, Tori laid her head on the sergals shoulder. “But gah, I really feel bad about this.” The sergal comforting her friend put her hand on her head. “Don’t worry, i’m here for you sherky” Tori chuckled a little and closed her eyes to try and sleep. “Thanks hun.”


38 minutes later

Getting to the location, it was a pretty windy, but empty area with little traffic in the area, person and or vehicle. Rev looking around at the area was slightly unnerved, but nonetheless, parked his car at the nearest curb and turned off his car. The GPS said this was the area, it was no more than a few unused train tunnels and even more so, abandoned train stations accompanying them. “Ahh jeez, this place is giving me the creeps, but, there’s a life at risk here,i have to do this.” Rev thought to himself. Finally mustering up the courage, Rev opened the car door and shut it close. The resounding echo that came from shutting the car door, only added to the already pre existing desolite atmosphere this place already gave. The GPS Rev had in his hand was still pointing him towards a place that could be reached by foot. Doing so, the beeps on the GPS became more steady, eventually leading down a tunnel. Looking up, there was a door in the middle of the tunnel. Seeing this Rev immediately froze and looked around him. He was already a good distance away from his car and going deeper into the tunnel was something he didn’t want to do, but he knew he had to, he had to save them. Rev mustered up the courage and eventually made it up to the door with the GPS saying he was at his destination. Rev assumed the door was locked and he’d have to lock pick it open. Before Rev could even place his hand on the door handle, a voice came out of nowhere almost making the human scream in the spot. “Excuse me?” Rev turned to the voice, when he did, he got a little nervous as the voice belonged to a shark. The shark in question was a female, tall, slender and well built. Wearing jeans and black jacket with a gray shirt underneath, on top of that, dirty brownish yellow skin, blond hair tied up in a ponytail slightly blown about in the wind, and the most prominent feature, her red eyes. “Yes?” Rev said a little nervously. “Do you happen to know where the park is? There’s one here but the directions I was given happened to pass by through here.” She spoke in a british accent, making Rev think she was a tourist. “Uhhh, Im really sorry ma’m im not from around here actually, those people over there may be a bit more help.” Rev said a little apologetically. “Oh. That’s fine, i’ll find it eventually, thank you though.” With that she proceeded to walk her way down the tunnel.

After that encounter and the previous one in his office, Rev was beginning to think his fear of sharks was going to subside. But not wanting to delay it any further, he reached for the door handle and began to turn it, expecting it to be locked, but to Revs surprise, it turned fully, with the sudden gust of air violently slamming the door open, scaring the human, followed by the dank and musty smell. Rev looking around began saw the room, it was dark only illuminated by the open door and some openings in the rooms ceiling. Giving the room an almost… Haunted feeling. Regardless, Rev had to cover his nose and hope the smell was from the actual room and hopefully not from a former living animal. Rev unholstered his sidearm and got out his flashlight. The tiny click of the flashlight echoed slightly in the room, and now the footsteps of his shoes now joining the chorus of echos. Looking up, the light bulbs were smashed, so no in built lights here. Going deeper into the room, a sudden rustle in the room brought his attention. As Rev shone his light to the source of the sound, two glowing orbs looked back at him causing the human to scream a little and back up a little. However, after the initial shock wore off, Rev realized it was coming from an animal, possibly one of Tori’s friends. Wasting no time, Rev holstered his side arm and went to the body and shone the light more closely at it. The body was yellow furred, had messy red hair and green eyes, thankfully fully clothed this time around. And, she looked to be a rabbit. Rev saw she was tied up and gagged as to not make a sound. This wasn't Revs first time seeing something a situation like this and so proceeded to untie the gag on the female bunnies mouth and was immediately met with a frantic plea “Please! Please! Please! D-dont hurt me!” The bunny trying to back up from the human on the verge of tears. Rev seeing this immediately tried to comfort the bunny. “No! No! No! I’m not here to hurt you ma'am. I was sent by a… Friend to save you.” The bunny began to calm down a bit, and ask. “Y-you are? Thank you!” The bunny feeling relieved. “Yeah! So do me a favor and be still a bit.” Rev pulled out a pocket knife and began cutting at the ropes that retrained the bunny just moments ago. “There you go, free at last! Let’s get you safe!” The bunny proceeding to hug the human, Rev hugged back. “Okay, let’s go” Helped the bunny up and proceeded to go back to his car and back home ASAP.

Holding the bunny's hand and guiding her out the room and closing the door, Rev used his other hand to grab the SAT phone and call Tori once more. “Hello?” Rev answered ecstatically. “Tori! My first location was a hit! I have one of your friends, i’m heading back to the station now. You can pick her up, and I can check on the other two locations afterwards. Days still young after all. Also, she also has the same color scheme as you, yellow fur, red hair, green eyes. Ha!” Tori was speechless for a bit and answered. “I… Hah... Yeah. Thats fantastic work hun! I’ll be there soon!” “Sweet! I’ll be there… Hold up” As Rev got to the car and unlocked it, helped the bunny into the passenger seat and closed the door. He then proceeded to attempt to continue his conversation. “Yeah, as I was saying, i’ll be there in around 30-” Again Rev was interrupted by a familiar sounding british voice. “Hey you, punk.” Rev proceeded to look at the voice and recognised the shark from earlier. Little to Revs knowledge, Tori on the other side, knew that voice and immediately screamed as loud as she can on the phone. “RUN REV!” Hearing this, Rev looked at the phone and back to the shark only for things to go a very bright white. “GEAAAGH” Rev after the initial shock realised he was just punched, and in the process, dropped the phone. Much to the sharks dismay, she heard all of it on the phone. Before Rev could react, he felt two hands on his back bend him over, and then proceeded to bury their whole leg into Revs stomach making him lose all his air in his lungs from the impact. “AAAAAAAAAAAH” Rev shouted. Before Rev was hit again, he managed to get a good hit on her, square on the face. This however did not stun her, let alone faze her. All it did was make her more annoyed, much to the humans dismay. The shark then proceeded to grab Rev by the neck and punch him squarely and repeatedly on the face. After about seven or so hits, Rev was heavily bleeding from his nose, possibly broken, and from his mouth. As a last final gift, held his head, and slammed it against the car door window, leaving a blood stain on it, and scaring the bunny inside “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP” Muffled screams could be heard from inside the car, but to no avail, the area was empty from anyone. Rev still somehow conscious from his severe beating, could only faintly watch as the shark who beat Rev down open the car door, grab the bunny, while still screaming, pinch her neck, making her instantly fall unconscious. Rev tried to get up and draw his gun, but unfortunately, the shark was almost expecting it.
Seeing this, immediately muttered “Only Human.” To Rev, before driving the heel of her boot into his head, knocking him out as well.

Hearing all this over the phone. The horrified shark could only hear the faint sounds of a car trunk opening, with a body being picked up and then eventually the phone itself. Prompting her to coldly say. “If you hurt ANY of them, I will hunt you down and kill you myself.” The shark on the other side only muttered in a mocking tone. “D’awwww I can’t wait hun. You know i’m gonna have some fun with your new friends...” The sound of a knife being flipped open can be audibly heard. “...Especially with that little human you managed to get to do your dirty work for you. Nice job by the way. Anyways, gotta go. I’ll catch you later maybe” With that, the shark make a kissing noise over the SAT phone and immediately hang up. With her two new friends with her, she tossed the phone into the trunk where the now unconscious human lied, grabbed the emergency trunk latch release, and ripped it out to prevent the human escaping, slammed the trunk shut and got into the car, started it up and drove off into the day.

Tori, hearing nothing but silence on her phone after that mockful kiss, could only drop the phone, and proceed to sit on the motel bed her and lenora were renting that day, and bury her head in her hands. A little bit later, Lenora came out the bathroom ready to go only to see her friend on the bed with her head in her hands. Seeing this, Lenora immediately sat next to her and wrapped her arms around the shark and ask. “What happened Tori?” Tori looking up with tears streaming down her face only answered what the sergal and shark had feared since the beggining.

“Prugs. She got them.”

Wooo, so, this was my entry for a contest my friend Tori was holding for a while, and only finished right before the deadline as well XD
