I would say you pulled that off a little too well, he looks like someone you do not want to fuck around with.
You know what? I want that as part of his design now because I feel as if it's a lot more fitting. So happy you encourage it. Despite his species being a vicious feline predator, Chocolate has such boyish mannerisms and a personality akin to a beloved family dog, strangely enough.

That's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just want the commissioner wanted and you delivered it.
Keep a note to include that feature on his portion of the reference sheet, for when I do get it from you.
In the short time I've had him and Vanilla as my characters, I've developed their character traits so above and beyond, it seems almost like they're physical beings that I could relate to in many different ways.
How I wish Chocolate were real, because we would be the best of friends like nobody I've ever met before. He's the perfect someone I'd want to hang out with to do guy stuff with like play video games, talk about cars, and toss around a frisbee/ball in an open field on a nice day. At the same time, his pet-like personality shines with an open appreciation of cuddles, me telling him what a good boy he is, and shamelessly playing around with his lovely toes.

So, I found the original image, which you can see HERE.
And for fun, I made a folder of all of the images I could find of toon Cat! All the way back to 2007, when it was created. xD
Here it is.
This is my favorite out of the entire gallery: CLICK
I will make note of that now! :D
It would be amazing if a lot of characters were real. :(

I actually like that picture a lot... you should consider using it as an icon in its original form in a place that allows a higher resolution icon. :)
Another thing I like is how each picture in your gallery has a different style, but all of them have that same surreal effect. This one is my favorite, despite it not being all too weird and crazy like the others are. (I would like to see this as your icon!)
Chocolate's ears should be super easy to recreate, they're pretty much the same as this guy's ones are. On the reference, it shows him wearing a hat, which emphasize the look of those dog-like ears.
I fantasize about meeting my characters because I have a crush on quite a few of them, oddly enough. Meeting an anthro creature sounds so exciting. A shared theme in both Furryisms and Bleeding Crimson and Scarlet is the insertion of my idea for anthros being superior to humans.

I'm glad you like it! X'D <3
You gave me an idea, in regard to that sketch of Cat giving a weak thumbs up. I think I might try to finish that picture! :D I'll make note of that right now. n_n
It would make sense that they would be superior to humans because they would have all of the qualities of humans and MORE.

I hadn't even known any of those pictures existed until now.
So happy to have given you the idea to revitalize that one picture, it's something I actually want to see completed.
Felt the need to read the last sentence in your comment by looking at your icon a couple times because it looks like something Cat would say, with that same expression. :p
What you said is true; it's akin to having superpowers.
Again, referring to Bleeding Crimson and Scarlet mythos, Mishya was the one responsible for creating the anthro race (since he is a god). The real question to ask is, did he create the perfect creature, or the perfect monster?
Wait until you see how metaphysical this series really gets.
