A commission for
Stampy of his Erika the Jolteon doing very typical Erika things. It was the final picture I produced for 2017 if I remember correctly, to give an idea of how far behind I am posting things from Patreon. c.c
I'm not sure how I exactly came up with this idea other than perhaps looking at an older Erika picture I did and wanting to have another take of it. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19156383/
Something that tickled me about this was Stampy said at one point this is probably one of the most in character depictions of Erika done by someone other than himself. I guess I just understand the character well enough? Because he had very little to do with the creation of this. The "commission" was basically do something, anything for him, not necessarily Erika or black paper.
I had a lot of fun with the fiery explosions and craters, more than I probably should have. |3
Done with Prismacolor pencils on black card stock paper. A comment I might make though is that I do use a little bit of Photoshop to make darks darker and lights lighter in the scans of these pictures (because the black paper is not fully black like a colored pencil or charcoal). They are a bit stronger than in real life but otherwise nothing else is really altered.
Patreon I have a Patreon that features early access, full resolution pictures, and voting for picture ideas and/or completion. You can find that account at: https://www.patreon.com/EclipsisStudios

This is a truly beautiful work you do with colors on black paper!
All the craters on the planets, the bits and pieces flying and floating around, the lights of her gravlets and even the different textures, lighting, clouds and landscapes you portray on each of the planets/moons. It's super impressive and fantastic!
It's all very vibrant and beautiful! Despite Erika causing quite the massive trouble all over the place.
