A new piece that I wrote in September 2009 for solo piano. A set of variations on a theme that I heard on the PA system at work. It's designed to be an easy piece for less advanced pianists (not raw beginners, but not virtuosi either) as I find that a lot of the pieces written for beginning musicians are pretty trite and often without a lot of substance. So this is a set of variations in the classical style on a simple theme with easy harmonies and simple handwork.
