A Summer Poke-Cation! Part 2 - The Annoyadex
Why is that people seem to think that having machines talk to you is for everything? I mean I get it, deal with them all the time, and most are better than people, but seriously, some things should just not have a voice, or, more directly, a personality.
Sure, the Pokedex from the start had a voice, probably for hearing-impaired, but it was simply just to read the text for you and let you know that "Zubat" and not "Zubats" was correct for a group of them.
So what the heck is up with THIS one!?
I think it's kind of neat. Got a spunky personality...and it works as a map too!
I give the POKEDEX it's improvements, as a local map is a nice addition...just why do we have to have a ROTOM in it?? Last time I heard of that Pokemon, I think it came from some TV in some abandoned mansion in one of the previous games at a specific time. Think I caught one..
BUT, apparently, stuff it in a Pokedex and it starts talking!
Well in the adjustments we made, the Pokemon can talk but uhh...
Well most do it through telepathy...but this thing actually talks! I've gotten use to the thing not speaking to me that it's just awkward that suddenly it is. Sure, I hear the thing can offer you benefits as it...gains...affection...from you...but come on, it's weird to have a relationship with a thing you literally push the buttons of.
Oooohhh...ok I think I get what you're saying. It's kind of like the bed thing.
Yeah! What is WITH that? I mean, ok, back in the original games we dug in trash for items (shout out to Leftovers), but they apparently removed that for these games. INSTEAD...we can SLEEP IN OTHER PEOPLE'S beds. Not to mention that our character seems to gain insights on the person from...possibly smelling the sheets...what the heck is WRONG with this kid??
Yeah that was reeeaallly awkward...
Lets face it, Pokemon's always had some weirdness to it. I mean from the very start, it's parents being OK with 10 year olds trying to capture creatures that can summon tornadoes and spit fire. Maybe we shouldn't be so surprised...
