Inspired by the "Riddley Rabbit" stories penned by a fellow NAF contributor, James L. Brandt, I couldn't resist drawing up a mechanical rabbit as the "Ultimate Digging Machine." The image is also a little nod to Dan, "Flinters" Canaan who drew an excellent Land Roo-ver which graced the cover of the fanzine about a year ago.

We'll need engines that can produce 400 HP or more, the same size and weight of a few stacked pennies, and figure out a way to make solid forms slip into and out of each other, all while taking up the same space. It's not wholly impossible, but we've still got a way to go.
