I love the chrome trim at the front of this 1952 Chevrolet Deluxe's wheel well. The skirt that hides half the tire looks cool, but must have been such a pain if you needed to change the tire. And speaking of tires, how about that whitewall? Yes!

skirts were a pain... we had a station wagon with skirts - 1967(?) It was a pain to change a tire...

I've never had to deal with them. I can only imagine. How were they fastened on? Screws on the back side or some kind of clip maybe?

the one I encountered had a retractable rod, so you would fit it in place and then the rod would go through a slot type bracket...

Bring back skirts for carts, not so much the spats but the wheel arch with the chrome.
And why aren't whitewalls still thing :3 Lovely picture.
