“Thank you for taking care of my little treasure when I no longer could. Now, I vow to look after yours.”
Vyrn's mother and Jago, in the afterlife. Much like how the mother who lost a son found a son who lost his mother, the lost mother also found the lost son. They'll be forever, a piece of the twins' life.
The bittersweet ending of the saga. "Gratidão" is the Portuguese word for "gratitude". This entire saga began with [this illustration], titled "Saudade", another Portuguese word. It's fitting that it ends with a Portuguese words as well.

"I AM NOT CRYING YOU ARE CRYING :___________:
FUCK ME I WAS NOT READY FOR THIS AT ALL."
WanderingPariah was right.
WHO THE FUCK IS CUTTING ONIONS IN MY LIVING ROOM?
T____T I can't even.
As someone who has a child they can no longer hold.... This is too perfect. This is like my fucking spirit animal.

AAAAAA QwQ
I've been meaning to ask for a while, is upper body scale placement dependent on genetics/heritage, or is it random? And do males have more scales than females?
I've noticed that Vygo has scales on his lower arms but Indrys doesn't, and Vyrn's mother doesn't have nose scales (neither do the twins or Jago) but Vyrn does. So I was just curious.

Scale placement and quantity is definitely an hereditary trait, but males don't necessarily have more scales than females! There are very draconic females, and males with very few scales!
Fun fact: dragonfolk are really proud of their scales, and those who don't have many often undergo scarification in order to get some "fake scales" that simulate a more scaly body!

Well, that it looks like some opposite view there. I mean, we have the Twins, who, are fire dragons, keep the little one who is an ice dragon. There, we have the Ice dragon mother who is keeping the little fire dragon.
Even in the afterlife or not, both sides are happy together.
Yes, it is sad to know these two are dead, but lets face it. We have more income in the world of the living to see in this serie!

Vyrn and his blood mother are not ice dragons though! They came from a very cold and icy region of their world, where white scales are common, but they don't have any affinity with ice.
All dragonfolk from this world are descendants from the same ancient dragons, which were fiery in nature. Therefore, all dragonfoll are creature of fire, despite having different scale colors!
