Thanks, once again to
poetigress I was massively inspired to write something down. For years, I have wanted to do something, to honor 9/11, so when I finally gave my feelings a voice, I poured my heart and soul into this. For that reason, I am asking you to respect this story.
If you have a problem with it, quietly note me, and explain in a calm, rational manner.

This is the third 9/11 story I have read in a short time and while I sympathize, it was a true tragedy, and I understand the whole event's meaning in history, the stories start to get a tiny bit repetitive. I rather enjoyed this, but unluckily, the emotion was pretty much lost to me. Yup. Great story, but maybe the wrong reader. I enjoyed this, but truly touched I am not.
Good work.
Good work.
*hugs* I'm really glad you think so. I really owe Poetigress for this one; I really have been searching for eight years for a way to, not put these feelings to rest, but to find a constructive use for all the sorrow, the rage, and pain. And I didn't even know anyone who died.
I wanted this story to be a message of hope, because the thing that truly facinated me, was just how fast everyone came together, after it happened. In the weeks afterword, we really were one country. Everything else just fell away, creating an outpouring of genuine support like nothing I'd ever seen. For a while, I knew why we were the biggest nation on Earth, and it was the most awesome feeling. I knew what Admiral Yamamoto meant, when he called us a "Sleeping Giant".

In the aftermath, there was a strong sense of unity. There was a a lot of admiration for those who ran into the towers to rescue others, even though some did not make it. It's hard to put such emotion into words, so it's no wonder it took you eight years to do it. It was both a moment of great sorrow for the pain and great triumph for the uniting of people.

I have some questions about this scene from your story:
"He was openly crying now, tears streaming down his muzzle, barely able to speak. Wordlessly, Jimmy threw his arms around the old Dalmatian, hugging him and nuzzling Scott's face with his muzzle."
1. When Scott cried, did his tears specifically stream down:
A: The bridge of his muzzle and off the tip of his nose as he hung his head
or
B: The side of his muzzle diagonally and off his lower jaw and chin
2. Exactly how would Scott react and what would he say to me if I hugged him myself, rubbed his back and licked those tears streaming down his muzzle with my tongue during the scene where he cried? Because every time I read that, I fantasize licking every last tear from Scott's muzzle.
3. Dumb question but on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the saltiest, how salty would Scott's tears taste on my tongue if I licked them directly from his muzzle?
4. On a scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being freezing cold and 10 being scalding hot, how warm were those tears streaming down Scott's muzzle?
I know these questions sound weird but please please PLEASE reply back!
