Yep, it does sound like he could be Florence's "brother". I like Bob also. He put me in a better frame of mind for going to church this morning. (And this was a duplicate of the above before I fat fingered an edit...so I went with this version.) I still owe you a note too.

Many years ago I read something from an old scifi writer that went along similar lines including the 'Bob' character. Heck if I can remember who it was or the name of the short story, I think I was only about twelve years old. It's concept stuck with me all these years and to see you do this piece brought back some wonderful memories for me. I love this story, tears and all. *hugs*

OH yeah I remember that, I loved that one too. One thing I did remember after about an hour or so was the book belonged to my grandad and the story was either written or possibly published in about 1912 and although it was an old book it might not have been the first edition. *hugs*

I still can't remember the name or author and I don't know what happened to the book. I suspect it got destroyed when I left my ex hubby, quite a few of my books didn't survive him storing them incorrectly.

That is so sad... but we all lose some things along the way.
