Heh, the doom creature was strickly for halloween. The aranous seal is based off 4 simple things regarding how the empire is run. The sword is there as the main species that founded the empire is a clan of warriors. The domonic looking skull is there as demons are welcome to visit the empire openly. The lorals are there as there is a high sense of law and order in the empire, which when combined with the skull means that the laws are there to protect everyone fairly no matter the species. The upside down triangle is there as it represents forbidden knowledge. Such knowledge is often seen as evil, although the empire embrasses such knowledge as they know that it is the weilder of the knowledge that determines how it is used, not the knowledge itself.

All of these together make up the founding princaples of the empire, as well as how it conducts itself to those both within and outside of it's borders.
