A Summer Poke-Cation! Part 1 - Aloha From Alola!
Well, it's summer. Time to grab your sun lotion and hit the beach to work on your tan, go to theme parks and ride the roller-coasters, and throw meat on the grill for a cookout....
...not me, I'm an inside dragon. Tans just give a good name to sunburns, parks are crowded, and we developed buildings to get away from nature's living needles that attack you when you try to make food outside. I'm content to grab a cool drink, sit back, and work on my play-through of the Sly Cooper Trilogy.
Rigel, on the other hand, wanted to drag me out for some "summer fun". A word to the wise, don't poke a sleeping (or gaming) dragon. To get him to shut up, I decided to be fair and met things in the middle ground.
So every now and then during this summer we're going to be diving into a simulation of a game I picked up awhile ago but hadn't touched due to how swamped I was. We've done the material before, and Rigel thought it was fun for the both of us. But whatever...
Pokemon Sun.
The latest addition in the main series of Pokemon. And no, it's not that "Ultra" version either, that's technically the same thing with DLC. So yep, we're going with the original, of which we had not played before.
I mean honestly...it just screams summer right? I mean, Pokemon went ALL Hawaii with this latest pairing of games for...some...strange...reason.
That's why it was good pick! Hawaii and summer go together...I...think.
I guess so. Me and Rigel will be going through the events of Melemele Island, sharing the occasional moment from the game's early events. Personally, I'm not a summer person at heart...
Come on Az! It'll be fun I swear!
The last time we did this, I beat the snot out of a Pikachu.
That...doesn't sound...
Fun? Not really. Satisfying though.
OK...don't think there are Pikachu on this Island...that's good...
