Succubats change with every generation of new queens. Usually it's minor, but even minor shifts in coloration mean that bats from one side of the country can look very different from bats on the other side.

On the odd case more cherubee queens were to appear in the wild, would they also get as variable in coloration as regular succubats ?

Dr. Vandal did not make any Cherubee Queens. She has made bees that came out in unusual colors tho

I have a somewhat related question, could a Cherubee queen occur on its own without any genetic tomfoolery by Dr. Vandal?

I'm not sure how it would just happen on its own. Just like succubats, cherubees can't breed. They don't happen on their own. That's a specific choice of Vandal's.

I get it, its just that I, and probably lots of other people, are hoping something will happen that makes Vandal obsolete or shatters her control of the Cherubees. A queen Cherubee is just one of the fastest options people tend to come up with.
