This is the banner that Dragoneer asked me to do, and I couldn't have been more stoked--or flattered :D I'd hoped that one day I'd get to do one of these, so I enjoyed the opportunity!
I wasn't planning on uploading it since a certain.. someone.. who rhymes with squash.. accidentally overwrote the full size version :x Buuut, people still ask me occasionally to upload it, so here we go--puny abound!
EDIT: I just thought squash was a more amusing word. I guess I should have said "rhymes with gosh" or "posh" or "swash". e__e

It's a very complicated and kinda opaque program.. so it's going to take a lot of learning. Unless you're into animation, I'd recommend Sketchbook Pro if you plan mostly on doing sketching. If you do want to do inking and coloring, then sure, go for TVP! But you'll have a harder time finding a current copy, and it tends to be a bit finicky if you're using a pirated copy. Sketchbook has all of the sketching functionality of TVP, but is pretty useless for everything else, imo. However, since it's also intended to be used on tabletPCs, it's very good for that.
Hope that helps!

Not the same way, nor as efficiently, imo. Sketchbook has a very clean interface; Photoshop is extremely cluttered, particularly on a small screen like a laptop's. Photoshop also isn't really a real animation tool.
Just depends upon the application! I find Photoshop indispensable.. but I also find other art programs critical. Everything has its own purpose.

I absolutely loved this one. Being a summer person, I felt it captured the month and the season just right. There's nothing I like better than a warm midsummer evening out in the grass. ^^ I'm just bummed the season's pretty much over with though. Sigh.. next year will come soon enough.
