So, two days ago I went on a small trip to my sister's place back in Croatia, to visit her and her kids. While we were on a walk, we passed near some gravel and sand, and as it was nearly sunset the rays struck this lovely thing at such an angle that it seemed like it was glowing, half-burrowed in the sand and alerting me to it's presence.
Chalcedony as-is is quite hard to find here among all the bland chert stones, and even the most basic grayish-white-blue chalcedony can look quite impressive. This one is a definite keeper!
Specimen's length is 5.5 centimeters (2.16 inches).
