A quick guide to Iserafi, the closed species by Moonlit_Afterdark
The Iserafi are a closed species by yours truly, please don't make them without a MYO voucher.
Iserafi are an arctic species covered in thick fur. Their shorter fur is much thicker than a regular animal's, and is very similar to that of a Russian Blue's. The longer fur concentrated around the extremities are also very thick and layered, and trimming such is a delicate task, and more common as the Iserafi move down to a warmer climate to explore outside the tundra.
They typically only have one horn to protect themselves, but can have as many as 4 if the mutation allows it. These horns are smooth and have a polished marble feel to the touch. Iserafi take great pride in their horns, and to have a broken one is shameful, and the Iserafi is seen as reckless and/or stupid, regardless of how it happened.
They normally only have one, long, fluffy tail. In order to keep it clean, it is often braided or in sectioned ponytails. It is rare to see one with a short tail, because how would they stay warm without a large blanket of soft, thick fur? It is also rare for an Iserafi to have more than one tail, as the mutation often causes genetic problems, especially with the spine and legs.
Sometimes their fur can also become concentrated around their hips and flare out. Though this is considered beautiful by most Iserafi, this fur mutation can actually mean something in the genetics that control fur has malfunctioned, and can lead to Iserafi being completely covered in thick fur, which can impede sight and temperature regulation, or worse, can cause them to be "naked", that is, without thick fur and only covered in the short fur, which can cause Iserafi to freeze to death. This is less of an issue for southern Iserafi, however a "naked" Iserafi is still seen as a bad omen of sorts, and ostracized in the community.
Very rarely, Iserafi are born with a pair of vestigial wings. Though they are never able to fly, the Iserafi who bare them don't seem to mind, and often decorate them. The wings are often kept close to the body for warmth. Where this gene came from is a mystery.
Iserafi subsist on a diet primarily comprised of fish, and are nervous to live in areas with no water, even if there are groceries with fish stocked up nearby.
Though Iserafi don't need clothing, they find the idea fun, and will happily decorate themselves. They favor things that are bright and colorful. Scarves are a favorite, while shoes are rare. With so much fur on their feet, it's hard to find ones that fit unless you're a "naked" Iserafi.
A piece detailing NSFW specifics will be made at a later date.
