This reminds me of a video game I played years ago. In it, you're traveling around and you see a sign juuust on the other end of a damaging marsh. The only way to get to it is by taking a good chunk of damage by going through all the muck. And what does it say? "Danger: poisonous swamp here."

ah, k, there was an old school nes game (zelda clone) named crystalis that also featured a poorly marked swamp...it failed to mention you had to find a gas mask before going there

In Exile III (I'm almost certain it's the third one, not the second now), the poorly marked swamp is deliberate and there for humor. After reading the sign, your character thinks "This is the most useless warning sign in history."

chrisalis wasnt a zelda clone it was better than the nes zelda but was rare so didnt get much of a fandom as zelda did and just faded after its creation

i regard chrisalis as a zelda clone for the same reason i regard dark cloud as a zelda clone, it follows similar physics, battle system, and overall game play, there are several differences, i liked dark cloud better then i liked ocarina of time in several ways, and yes, they did include an engine for building (thus combining the thrill of dungeon cralling with the joy of having npcs telling you how bad a job your doing at rebuilding their destroyed town...i liked it anyway ^.^)

its also a copycat game because it was released after zelda...so, same general engine, and play style, plus it was released after zelda, this makes it a copycat...the fact that it was BETTER then zelda is, unfortunately, irrelevant, which is something i hate saying cause i loved that game...

the snes version of zelda copied chrisalis though
