Today was his last day of humanity. He had completed his trade, and was ready to gain true power. Dragons ruled the skies above the swamps, but truly the Rakshasa held the real power in these lands. Beneath their scaly lords, they brokered the deals and traded in souls of mortals.
He surrendered his soul, too for power.
The demon already collected his payment, and feasted on his soul but now it was time for his, today he joined their ranks. A crack of thunder across the jungle, and he felt it start.
The monstrous power surged into him, twisting his body, growing fur and claws, and losing weakness. Humanity ebbed away, as the predator awoke. Who needed a soul, when the power of death was yours to command?
