The commissioner said he wanted a dragon playing in mud, so I did my best.

You know, 'cute' didn't even come to mind as I was drawing this, but it did work out for it.

Your rendition of wings is of such sharp precision it almost cuts the eye, and the volume and depth of them, especially that added by the mud filling then ! Awesome ! And ah, those lingering strands of mud that trickle down from the dragon's flanks !
The concept itself is quite unusual, and despite its messy nature, fun 8D

It's especially interesting to see it in lineart version, since it'd usually be all dirty-dirty-filthy-muck all over the frolicking dragon, but as it is, it's both merry and clean-looking.

Well, messy can be fun too but the clearness of the goop he's playing in does kind of give it this strange, 'pure' feeling.

Oh....those used to be days. Frolicking in mud. Squeeing happily as you fling filth here and there. Then you get some one else involved and it turns into a party.

Wow...I can't express just how impressed I am with this so far. You've captured the carefree spirit of playing around in the mud perfectly. I love how utterly joyous and carefree the pose and expression are here. I particularly like the idea you have of the mud pooling atop the wings, catching me midway in a roll to toss the stuff gleefully up in the air. I find it impossible to look at this and not smile. *chuckles*

Plus, the way you've portrayed the hand/paw hybrid is just spot on, and the overall form of the character is just pristine. You've got a fantastic grip on draconic anatomy.

I'm glad you're enjoying the idea behind the commission, and can't wait to see what you do with it. The colors on this are just going to be stunning.

Yay! :D Im glad you could tell he had been rolling. The idea was, he rolled far enough to get his feet in the air and started kicking it around until the next roll. I wasn't sure how you wanted the paws, but that design did work out. Kind of lucky X3 I just tried to go with what would look right to me.
