Another kind of cricket. This is the spark from a Cricket brand cigarette lighter, renowned for their spark. Looks big, but was only about five inches. Resizing the photo took out a lot of the fine detail, particularly around the base of the sparkburst. But I got the whole thing here, from bottom to top.

Yep, to get all the detail and clarity, I had to use a pretty fast shutter speed, which made it difficult to get the timing right. I got lucky with this one, managed to get it right soon, but I could have been trying for hours.
