The sun was just barely beginning to dip towards the horizon, casting an ever redder light across the state with each passing minute while the furs down below in cities, towns and hamlets begun to leave their places of work in these early evening hours. After a long day of work, there were many drowsy furs leaving their places of work in masses, walking, taking public transportation, or driving somewhere themselves. Looming above them were massive mega skyscrapers that dominated the city’s already stunning skyline, casting grand, long shadows across its vast swath of urban development.
The gigaopolis was calm to say the least; after such long work days it was nice to finally have a chance to wind down, even though their commute was as usual long due to the sheer amount of people who were traveling through town. Still, the frequent stops of the traffic jams made for good opportunities to relax a little bit while waiting for traffic to move again, so those trapped within their vehicles took this as a good opportunity to take it easy; it wasn’t much of a reason to get wound up over the slow pace of the traffic anyways, they couldn’t do anything about it regardless of how much they wished.
But yet a few came to notice something far outside of town: beyond its grandeurs ports, and far into the crystal clear sea beyond they saw lights shimmering in the fiery orange sky in gorgeous shapes that danced and snaked across the ever vast vista above. A slight spinning was soon created by the lights as they merged, gaining the attention of quite a few more furs as they saw what was happening.
Eventually the lights begun to part again, yet this time they drew the contours of a massive shimmering wall of light hovering almost a mile above their world; by the time the lights stopped, the oval wall had reached a height that had to be in the double digits of miles, enough so to be visible from beyond the horizon, and most importantly way big enough to get the attention of every single fur living in this city.
The dark blue wall shimmered and waved like the surface of water, bordered by a spinning circle of light blue light that seemed to constantly alter its shape in the minutest of ways like a snaking rope while the wall itself was slowly altering its color. Something soon became visible through the wall as it continued to warp, revealing bit by bit what lay beneath; the visage of something massive moving beyond the portal’s surface was the first and only thing the many furs saw just a mere moment before the entire portal’s surface warped as the object pushed through.
A gargantuan paw was what left the portal, piercing its surface as if it was not there, as if it was simply pushing apart a light film of water that offered no resistance to its advance, beyond a gentle ripple through both space and time. Most immediately recognized the clear draconic shape of the invading paw; 3 massive broad toes made up its shape, all connected to a sole which seemed almost rexian in appearance due to how thick and meaty it was. A bit up towards its digigraded hell also hung a large dewclaw by its inner side, giving a rather saurian appearance to the paw as a whole.
It was covered in beige scales, that each seemed large enough to outsize a skyscraper, and its claws was an earthly deep brown, which matched the strong looking armor plating which covered the paw’s top, as well as the top portions of the titan’s lower legs. More of the beast followed suit the moment the paw crashed into the ocean, causing an impact both godly and awe-striking as water was launched miles high in a grandeurs cone around the impact center, sending multi mile tall tsunamis outwards in each direction around the intruding drake’s foot.
Another paw followed closely behind the impact of the first, leaving the portal just as the rest of the immense titan did. His body was one that inspired a collective gasp of fear from those who stared up at him, a body towering like no object on their world, tall enough to be described as a living mountain, while still underestimating his actual size! A dragon indeed, this behemoth’s beige scales and dark brown armor shone gently in the fiery light of the setting sun, revealing his every detail to those who would still watch him emerge from the portal; from the rows of spikes adorning his head, to his curved horns and beefy body he was one to admire and fear, and for what was worse he was coming straight for them!
Step after step rung out against the sky as the dragon neared with a slow and methodical stride, walking slowly as to not reach his destination just yet, to really strike the fear into the hearts of those who would stare at him. The ones who did quickly noticed that the titan was holding something in the grip of his right hand, its beige scales embracing the strange object in a hold so tight it was breaking apart.
The striking lunar shape and color of the object was met with both shock and confusion; both from the way it was breaking apart to the molten rock that squirted out of it, and the shapes which dotted its surface, it was clear that it was a moon, not the moon, mind, but some random one for sure. That just begged the question of why it was so small; sure it was still huge, but at the same time it was barely a mile or two across!
That was when the furs noticed what lay behind the dragon; behind the shimmering veil of the portal’s now clear surface waited an apocalyptic sight that inspired terrified gasps from the collective masses that dared to stare. The visage of dead worlds lay there, a collection of globes probably once teeming with life, yet which had now been obliterated way past the point where anyone could recognize them. Their mantles and cores flowed freely through space, casting eerie lights upon the scattered fragments of their crust as they so did, giving a rather eerie sight to behold for sure, but also a gruesome hint as to what may be this world’s fate, would the dragon not be stopped.
Many felt a strike of relief rush through their minds once they heard the sounds of jetfighters in the air as the nearby military base was already reacting to the imminent threat; any doubts about the behemoth’s intentions were long settled with the sight of what he left behind, and for now the military were keen on stopping his advance. Millions fled throughout the city’s streets as the behemoth begun to properly loom above them, his large, glowing oranges eyes watching every movement of each tiny fur as they fled like liquid through the densely packed streets which lay before him.
Even now were the tsunamis from each and every step taken rising far above most if not all normal skyscrapers in this town, and yet still they were countless miles away from making contact. Still they gave the ever present reminder of how crucial it was to flee from this titan, for what his paws would not end, the water they sent washing ashore was sure to erase. Cruise ships and massive navy ships alike fired up their engines at full throttle to evade the approaching paws, and many terrified voices were silenced once those very same paws glided over their doomed vessels, only to smash down almost a mile away.
Of course the sheer force of impact still created an almost mile tall wall of water that rushed outwards from the impact zone, quite matching the rather forceful quake which the step itself would cause. The waves threw ships both far and wide, sending several sinking down into the depths of the ocean, while only a select few could even barely stay afloat; and those who did stared in awe as each sole rose again to step forth.
A volley of fire was sent towards the paws each time they came close to another vessel, lighting up just a minute section of its enormous surface with plumes of smoke and bright explosions well like a gorgeous fireworks show. And yet the behemoth seemed without care about their attempts; with his size there was little those pesky things could ever do to gain his notice, a fact that was met with quite a lot of fear from those who realized it.
Millions of fearful eyes watched as the first of the titan’s paws rose from their watery road and over the cityscape proper, its sole like a landscape the way it slid far above even the tallest of skyscrapers, casting a grand shape as it so did. A massive and evacuating airport lay right in the paw’s path, and the planes preparing for takeoff took this as a good signal to run, and fast at that. With jet engines screaming at maximum thrust they all begun to move across their runways, passengers staring with disbelief-filled eyes as the paw rose so, so far above.
Yet meanwhile other keen eyes noticed that the draconic invader was also opening his maw while he took this step, revealing his immense white fangs to the people of this world, as well as a very distinct orange glow from the very depths of his throat. Most didn’t even have the chance to react before the fireball shot out of the dragon’s maw; they could feel the shockwave of it even down at the ground as the literal wall of fire exited the beast and rushed its way straight down towards a cluster of mega skyscrapers.
It impacted the ground at the exact same second as the beast’s paw did, and the result…the result was beyond compare. Half of the entire city was within the blink of an eye engulfed in an inferno of fire countless miles tall as fire bellowed out from the initial impact zone of the behemoth’s fiery breath. Anything caught in the path of the fire was vaporized in a flash by the sheer divine force of the giant’s breath; not even the mega skyscrapers survived the onslaught of divine fire, the shadows of their innermost skeletons being all which remained of them from the force of the dragon’s attack.
And that was just his breath, his paw likewise hit with force surely nothing else but a deity could inflict. It was as big as a single of the city’s many districts, and its impact send cascading tremors throughout its carefully planned infrastructure across which the earth itself begun to split open and part as the ground upheaved in response to the shockwaves and kinetic force which ravaged its way through. Rows of skyscrapers, some of which having stood for almost a century, fell without resistance by even the lightest traces of the intense shockwaves, and others far away were blasted clean of façade or interior, leaving naught but skeletal remains of what was once thriving districts.
The airport which had been in the titan’s path had disappeared beneath his step before most planes could even escape, but those few who did were rapidly caught by the sheer force of air pushed aside by the descending sole. Those planes who were not torn apart by the sudden wind, were instead flung away as the wind grabbed their wings in its deadly hold, sending them miles off course over the collapsing city below, where their passengers got to witness each skyscraper collapse like houses of cards, and each boat washed and thrown into the cityscape by the waves created by the titan’s steps.
Meanwhile the squadron of fighters which attacked the beast still tried in desperation to halt his march, but nothing which they fired upon him could as much as sway him to slow his pace. A few unlucky ones were caught too close to the initial jet of fire, their crafts exploding in an instant even while hundreds of feet away from the pillar of flame, only adding to the impressive light show coating the behemoth’s body.
Then came his next step, gliding over the collapsing city and the shockwaves of his first, only to smash down on the very outskirts of town, where its suburbs were decimated by that lone impact. In just those two steps had the behemoth cleared the whole city, a city which had thought itself to be untouchable, something to last for centuries; it now lay in ruin, destroyed by fire and quakes of a magnitude no living creature had ever experienced.
And the giant? He just continued his stride, his maw closing slowly with a strong blast of blackened smoke from his immense nostrils. He didn’t look much more at the city that challenged him upon his arrival, he had a world to meet, and intended not to be late for his visit...~

A piece that was definitely worth the wait~
