This Rogue model RM-101A mandolin is on loan to me from my son for a recording project. Even though it isn’t a member of my own herd, I thought it was worth shooting some photos.

I love the way the sky reflects off the tailpiece cover and the polished black top of the instrument in this photo. The image of the tree in my front yard is distorted by the wood grain of the top.
