There's no date stamped anywhere on it, but I don't think it is all that old. Thanks, it is a nice-looking instrument and I like the black finish. It's just a beginner's instrument, hardly top-notch. I picked up a good mandolin at the music store a few weeks ago and am so tempted to buy one.
