I know this is coming to the discussion late, but...
I'm not entirely sure if you've done a bad piece. By now, and probably by then, people feel confident that whatever you put up is good.
Though a much simpler explanation is that it got faved before it was taken down as a doublepost - and that the person didn't want to reduce your fav count.
