This is Rani, the dancer, relaxing a bit in her home before starting a new day of work. Her job pays very well, enough for her to own a big house and survive without struggles, together with the fact Rani lives in a different kingdom compared to Shadi, and the laws against non-humans here are way less strict here.
This is what allows Rani to live such a comfortable life, compared to many of her species in other territories, but the constant migration of more non-humans looking for a better life is causing a lot of tension with the human population and threatens to change all of this.
If I'll ever draw more than one story of Shadi (heck, I don't know if I'll ever draw the first one alone), she will totally be part of the character cast, becoming Shadi's employer, friend, and possibly something more. No spoilers. :P

About the drawing itself, this was another experiment I made to practice with more convincing light effects. I only partially inked the drawing, leaving the areas in direct light just in pencil, and I'm very happy with the result to say the least. I will definitely use this technique again in the future, since I think it's one of the best light effects I've ever done! :D
As always any feedback is most welcome! ^^

I love it so much! If I remember right, you use watercolors? Just curious. Whatever you're using, it looks especially amazing on the curtains and walls/flooring.
It also looks like you tried to create a tiny "fuzzy" line of color between the background and Rani, which is really cool since that's how fur looks when put in front of light irl.
I can only spot 2 things immediately that could use work. The bowl and pillow look very very 2-D. Although they fit in the scene because the texture of the paper or the pattern the paint dried helps, but the pillow could use a bit of depth to it. You could maybe use uneven light hitting objects in the future to help indicate depth so you don't have to draw corners.
Other than that, the bracelets she's wearing aren't symmetrical. The closer it gets to her body, the narrower and rounder the gauge (?) of bracelet becomes. Now I know THAT'S a nitpick, but I feel like whenever someone asks for feedback they rarely get something worthwhile.
Big fan, and I hope you keep up the awesome work! I'd love to see a short (or long) comic from you with these characters.

Brilliant artwork, man! As always, however.Shades, details... wonderful. I am feeling how good the weather is there and how hot is this kittie! I have no words.
Do her clothes cover only a half of her breast? What about mmm... place between legs? It isn't seen here clearly. Nice jewelry, in addition. I am waiting for new arts!
