this submission is mainly a way for me to cope with my current situation. so please excuse the fact that this has nothing
to do with my regular fetish art.
BACKSTORY:
about a year ago, i saved this little bugger from my neighbors, who had absolutely no clue how to
treat cats. they basically locked him in the bathroom so he couldn't scratch their furniture and they mistreated him
so much that i couldn't just stand there and watch. i offered them a good price and they happily sold him to me.
now i didn't plan to have three cats in the end, but oh well.
i called him Nico and he's such a great cat. playful and cuddly, always comes to me when i call for him and he
never scratched me in this one year.
WHAT HAPPENED:
lately, he kept scratching and hurting himself, so i went to the vet which said his constant itching might be
a food-allergy. on the way back, the transportation box i used to carry him, fell appart and he ran away...
that happened on the 4th of June.
I found him only once, on the same night. he was sitting in a bush behind a large fence, so i wasn't able to reach him
immediately. but even after climbing the fence, i wasn't able to get him... the only scource of light i had was a UV flashlight...
it was simply too dark to see anything.
after he went missing, i wasn't able to eat anything for 4 days and even now i'm stressed out.
i've contacted everyone in the vicinity, from the local vets, to the local animal shelter and even the school and kindergarden
right next to my house.
i'm so worried that i'll never find him again T_T
even bought a thermal camera to help me with the search, i'm on patrol every night looking for him and all
i can do is hope he's ok.
unfortunately, my family doesn't really understand my problem.
they just say stuff like "it's just a cat" or "you still got two cats, that's enough" or even
"just get a new one if you're so stressed out" which really doesn't help -.-
WHAT'S THE CONSEQUENCE?
well, it definitely means i'm having a hard time creating new art. i'll probably try to do a mini-set next, which will take
less time to finish... i don't know...
i just want my nico back...
to do with my regular fetish art.

Aww. That was a tough story to read.
But in the end, cats will be cats. He has probably found himself a nice brood of other cats somewhere and is busily making kittens. ^^
Or another nice thought might be, is that someone as kind as nice as you found him and took him in, and as you wrote this, he might have been lapping down a nice saucer of cream his new owner gave him.
Cats are resilient little creatures. They're survivors. Wherever he is, it's a good bet he is doing alright.

Well, I once 'had' a cat that was kind of wild. I say 'had' because he'd come and visit whenever he felt like it, and was a real cuddler when he did. A wild old buck of a cat he was, a real scrapper. He had scars all over him and was probably the top of the heap in whichever brood out there of which he was a part. He had a musculature on him reminiscent of wild lions, too. But he'd often come by and I'd let him in. I'd give him tuna or salmon, he'd stuff himself and then hop in my lap and cuddle with me for an hour or so, purring like a real motorboat as I stroked him. Then right after that, he'd demand to be let out, and then it was sometimes weeks, or even a few months or more before I'd see him again.
Cats, despite we often being able to make pets of them, are fiercely independent creatures. Maybe Nico just saw his chance for freedom. You did say he'd been being abused. So maybe he had learned to dislike being around people. He had probably grown to love you, but then you up and took him to the vet. It was for his own good, but in cat minds, getting poked and prodded by someone they don't know in the way vets poke and prod little creatures, well, maybe he'd felt betrayed by the one human he'd had come to tentatively love. Then the carry case fell apart and he saw his chance to try and start a new life for himself.
Here's a nice thought. For the brief time you had him, he was able to experience real love from a human. He got to have a good life while he was with you. Maybe he'll come back to you on his own, remembering how good you were to him.
If not, then there is always the local shelter. They got tons of sweet little cats in them who are looking for good homes. You may not be able to get Nico back, but I have little doubt that it won't be much trouble finding another cat as sweet as he was.

Something I tried when my cat Perry ran away was I put his bed outside. He'd been gone for about 2 weeks and I thought he was gone for good. Next morning, he was there loafing on top of it. Cats can smell for a deceptively long radius.
If Nico has a favorite toy or a blanket or something, I'd suggest putting that outside for a night or two. No guarantee it'll work, but it's worth a shot.
