These two chaps were inspired by a quote from a LiveJournal post about the upcoming series remake of "The Prisoner":
'Maybe it's just that I'm used to The Prisoner being acted in more British emotional pigments -- subtler tones like "chipper" and "arch."'

To be fair, McGoohan created the series himself, starred, co-wrote and directed it. With that degree of control, it was no wonder it wound up being so highly evocative.
(Note: One of the founding inspirations for the series was Project Epsilon, in which captured German scientists, Werner Heisenberg included -- yes, the Heisenberg, and there's no uncertainty about it -- were interned at Farm Hall, a comfortable mansion in Godmanchester, England in order to find out what they personally knew about nuclear weapons. To that end, they were secretly recorded at all times.
End result: They were very much surprised that America had built a nuclear bomb, and most of them were very happy they hadn't built one for Hitler. Heisenberg, nicely enough, back-engineered the bomb in theory within two weeks after hearing of Hiroshima.)
