One of the earlier and easily mass produced 3rd Generation BEAST type civilian models and one of the rare 'male' types for odd reasons. The Construction Assistance Technanoid, or C.A.T. for obvious reasons, is one of the most widely seen units next to K-9 police units and the Fire rescue and Hospital types. Cheap, powerful, and easy to program, they can easily build as quickly as they can demolish. Unfortunately, that is also a reason why they are a common target for cyber-terrorist hackers and criminals. They have had their fusion reactor removed and instead replaced with a short length battery and microwave transmitter. The battery provides to a maximum of 15 minutes of operating time depending on the actions taken, so a rampaging unit might have at most 5 minutes to cause havoc before shutting down. The microwave transmitter allows the unit to be powered without the use of extension cords which might get in the way and cause accidents.

Towering other Tech units at a staggering 10 feet tall, they are easily able to lift 50 tons of material and able to perform pinpoint construction operations. Usually operating in packs of up to 10 units they follow orders from a human foreman and work alongside human construction workers for the more detailed work. On occasion they can be called upon to act as the Jaws of Life during a roadside accident or rescue operations during floods or wildfires.

A C.A.T.s OS is one of the more simpler versions, hence why it's so easy to hack into. They are one of the few 'male' type units in the world for some reason and are sold to every country in the world. Some are even used as security for some 3rd world countries that can't afford more combat oriented BEAST types. Nearly all of them have modular arm attachments that replace their arms with various construction tools such as crane arms, wrecking balls, or drills. They are based off the early human operated CAT line of construction equipment from the late 20th century.
