I took Alone's tune, which was in 3/4 time signature, and re-made the song in 4/4.
I think it's really neato!

The drop at 0:36 is great, then again you've always been really good with your transitions
I liked the 3/4 version but this sounds way punchier, some great ideas and melody lines.
The only critique I can think is to open up the stereo spread of your mix a little perhaps? It can sound a little muddy in the centre. Especially when it loses the high eq end of the arpeggio lines from the intro.
(the bit that comes back in at 1:15). Nitpicking aside great track though! Always waiting for more!

I'm glad you like my transitions. hehe. One of the most fun part is building up and up.
I'm not good at all at acoustics for my songs. I do wish I had help with that, because some sounds don't come out the way I'd like and sometimes in the end product is can be messed up in a way that I'm sure would be a quick fix if only I know how to go about it.
It also may be because of my earphones or my stereo system.
But thanks a lot for your critique and thank you even more for just taking the time to listen to my little songs. :)

Hey, this tune has really, REALLY catchy melodies in it.
Sounds great. Great job on the arrangement and mixing.
I also enjoyed the subtle use of that 8-bitty synth.
The piece is overall very mellow and relaxing to listen to.
The accomanying patters and the later developments IMO walk veray well on a fine emotional line between despair, solitude and hope.

You're welcome.
Well, the fast püace generally doesn't fit that sentiment very well. But if you view it kindof zeitgeisty, then it fits, since many people nowadays have depressions with our fast paced life being somewhere in it's chain of causation.
I'd keep the hectic patterns of the sadder, despair-like parts and maybe thin out the drums in the happier parts in contrast - maybe making them half-time. But that's just my opinion.
