This is the latest batch of things I am waiting to cast in copper. I take very detailed photos of the pieces before they are cast so if things don't work, I have a record to recreate them from. Its a sort of Murphy repellent. Any of these are for sale as soon as they are cast, except the skull, that's for a piece of jewelry from my fiance's Ren-Faire necromancer costume.
The skull was a loads of fun to make. I took the real thing (a pigeon skull I think...gods only knows what dies and decays in the schools internal court yard) and put a layer of tissue paper and glue as a sort of paper mache over the skull and then added the wax. Then I let the wax cool and used the paper mache layer to strip the wax off. Then I put the bits back together off the skull, and filled the cavity underneath.
All the critters have bales on the back and are meant to be worn as necklaces.
I am planning to set CZs (Cubic Zirconium) into the eyes of the striped cat and wear it. I figure shiny eyes will get more people asking about it and thus advertising for me. It will also be a useful project in my stone setting class.

You have lived all over Texas. I know the Houston and Dallas areas well enough from playing tourist, never been to the palacios matagorda area. I had to look it up on Google *hides muzzle in embarrassment* Never did have Texas geography in school, moved to Austin too late in my schooling to have that particular class. Ever get to visit Austin?
