A Hi resolution model which will be used as a projection normal-map for a low res game model. This is just under 40,000 polygons. I started it this morning, and am now uploading it? Heh heh, the more you do the faster you get at it.
Model done myself of course, HOWEVER... original design is by http://badjoojoo.deviantart.com/

indeed all someone has to know in order to make something like this is the knowledge of the software. However to do it in an optimized manner and to do it with speed takes a certain level of experience. Sure anyone can do it, but you know, almost nobody takes the efforts to learn on their own. Like you, their lazyness and self un-motivation hold you back from learning valuable artistic assets which will aid you to do skillful artistic works of objective good taste, which work well within the area of good dynamic visual interest.
Maybe I should have said "Render" instead of "create" so it couldn't confuse you.
Anyone, sweet. Do you think you can send me the wireframe file of this image? I want to see if I can actually bring up the wireframe in a program I have. It's not 3DSMax, so it would would be cool to see if I can.

Very nice, and very functional looking to tell the truth. It looks as though it might shoot a 7.62 short or possibly 5.7mm round. The hand grip looks wide enough to handle a double stack mag.
It also looks gas operated, and the ejection port cover could actualy rotate down to let out brass to make it compleatly realistic. All in all you don't see many weapon designs like this that look functional to this degree.

well, design credit to that extent really belongs to the artist of the concept. I did not do the preliminary drawings for this piece, but I did choose this over many others because of it's feasability, clarity, precise layout and construction.
Im glad to see your extensive knowlege on such things. I have confidence you would be one to also heavilly critique the ones who just draw "cool" looking guns which wouldnt work for shit.

Your right about that, the truth is I find nothing more annoying than seeing a desert eagle clone that couldn't work, or worse a poor attempt at an M4 "inspired" weapon. It's always a releif to me to see something like this, fresh new design that is actualy possible. I'd also like to add that it seems compact, something that seems very rare for a futuristic weapon, most are overly large and cumbersome. Credit should definetly be given to the designer, and the same to you for doing this model so close to the original drawing.
what is that under the barrel of the gun? a spare magazine? usually there's like a little metal thingy under the barrel in most guns for gas release or something but this looks like an extra ammo mag.... just curious NICE alltogether, I love you Humongous icon from Mad Max wasn't it? XD
I really cannot say as I'm not the one who drew up the design for the weapon. Such credit is given to the designer in the description.
The Lord Humongous does not take your compliment as you obviously don't know enough of him to be CERTAIN of his appearance in the Road Warrior. He is Gravely Disappointed.
