Time for a new character! An axolotl- a strange animal, fitting for a strange character. Meet the priestess of the Golden Kingdom, Ixtil. This axolotl is a careful observer of the royal family, especially with the children. Fitting to her job, she is charge of blessing any of the family's decisions. Despite this close tie to them, she's also working under their noses to provide either their children or any of the children in the Golden Kingdom with a proper education. She disapproves of Emperor Zuma's war and fight-focused mentality, and his desire to make his army bigger to keep enemies away from their land, as well as being able to conquer even more smaller kingdoms or villages. Queen Quetzal has noticed that Ixtil is trying to direct the younger residents of the village away from the battlefield, and that's making her look extremely suspicious in a tense time for the kingdom.

I'm not sure if "priestess" is the right term to go with when it comes to Aztec culture, but since it is an alternate version of the civilization anyway, it probably doesn't really matter. At any rate, I'm happy to have a female character with an unusual character design. Axolotl characters don't really come by very often, and considering both the civilization as well as the time period Ixtil hails from, I feel she's a more than appropriate choice for an animal and character to have in this batch. Also, Axolotls are very cute creatures.
