Usually I post art regarding my character Bucky, but I’m also a big fan of Pokémon, and 
darksilvania just did an absolutely amazing commission featuring my one of my all-time favorite Pokémon, Infernape.
These are my NON-CANON interpretations of what Mega Evolutions for Infernape would look like, on the left is Mega Infernape X and on the right is Mega Infernape Y.
Mega Infernape X (Psychic/Fighting type)
An Infernape who has extinguished the fiery passion of its soul will find itself in a zen-like state of peace, unlocking hidden psychic abilities from deep within. It is able to now fight with clarity and precision, and fights only to protect those whom it truly loves with all of its noble being . Legends state that the mysterious heart shaped jewel embedded in its chest is the source of its psychic power and that those who gaze upon its reflective surface will be shown whom Infernape cares about the most. To see your own image within the gem is considered a very prestigious honor.

Mega Infernape Y (Fire/Fairy type)
An Infernape who embraces its inner firey passion will unlock hidden magical powers from deep within. This Pokémon is always excited about something, whether it is in the heat of battle or having fun. It is extremely difficult for this Pokémon to stay in one place as it always seeks out new adventures and friendship. The mysterious smoke that emits from its head flame defies all known logic, as it is behaves like a gas but is solid to touch. This Pokémon carries a wooden staff with it wherever it goes, however only in the hands of this Pokémon can it be used to its full potential, to anyone else it is just an ordinary stick.

Mega Infernape X is based on the Indian Mythological Deity Hanuman, and its jeweled heart is based on the tale of Hanuman’s Heart.
Mega Infernape Y is based on the Chinese Mythological Deity Sun Wukong, and both the cloud and wooden staff are based on the tale, Journey to the West.
