They don't really have a relationship at this point. She's becoming a Stormcloak, he has a sort of grudging respect for her...making it out of Helgen is no easy feat after all, and she's a Companion, so he thinks she'll be of use to him. They don't have a relationship for a good while.
It's interesting how you can draw your lady like a beast in an angry fight, and then being all cute and almost girly. In any situation, she stays damn beautiful. And such a lovely cat face with adorable hair gets really well accompanied by this long, fluffy and very beautiful tail. I think a long and awesome tail is just as much an element of pride of a woman as other great parts of her body would be. In a world of anthros, I believe most species would be jealous for foxes and felines. If the drawbacks of a long tail don't weigh too much. =)

Iona is supposed to be one of those accidentally, naturally pretty girls. She doesn't "try" that much, and she's not at home in dresses or lots of jewelry. Not even the typical earrings of a normal Khajiiti lady.
And she's primarily based on a Somali cat...and they have some of the most wonderful tails in the animal kingdom, I swear. So she comes by it honestly. So glad you like her!
