At first glance T.C. might seem like an ordinary guy (minus the cat ears, and tail), but there's more to him than meets the eye before he was even truly born, he was an angel serving Photos, the goddess of light in heaven for many centuries, until one day her twin sister Umbros, the goddess of darkness decided to invade heaven with an army of her nightmares and demons, jealous of her sister being adored and recognized by all the other gods and goddesses for her amazing power and kind nature. Photos managed to use her own army to fight off her sister's army, and send her sister to the depths of Hell, the battle wasn't without tragedy though, T.C. was wounded so bad, no magic would be strong enough to heal him, so during his final moments, Photos told him that he would be reborn again centuries later, as a boy with aspects of a cat, although he'd have to earn his wings and halo again through a method even she wasn't sure of at the time, with this information, T.C. died, his body turning to starlight.
Centuries later, T.C. was born, with incredibly vague memories of the past life he swore were just dreams, he was raised mostly by his mother as his father was a terrible and toxic person, who would spend most of his time getting drunk or gambling, he had two siblings, both older than him, a brother and a sister. T.C. learned about death at a very young age, when he was only 4 he heard his mother explain to him that his sister tried running away from home, and was killed in a way she never elaborated on, and sadly this wouldn't be the only time he'd experience loss, when he was 6 his father lost his 7-year-old brother in a game of cards to some bandits, on purpose no less, even going as far as to say he was "glad to be rid of the little shit" when his wife found out and confronted him about it. After an emotionally draining divorce, T.C. and his mother moved to a small town far away from her ex-husband, T.C.'s mother took good care of him, making sure he was well educated and well mannered, and though he struggled with being social the first few years of his life, he overcame his shy nature, and prided himself in making friends. When T.C. was 10, he saw the world around him stop moving, and everything became discolored, this scared him at first, as he had no idea why, but subtle things, he noticed told him that time had stopped, and yet he could still move freely, time stopped for only a few moments, then resumed as usual, as time went on T.C. found he could control time stopping, it started with only being able to stop it for a second, which went to two seconds, and so on, until he turned 19, his absolute best being 30 seconds, T.C. wasn't sure why he was blessed by the ability to stop time but decided he would use it to help people out, it was impossible to prove to those around him that he was stopping time, given how rare that form of magic is, and his peers believed he could instead teleport, or use super speed in short bursts. On the night of T.C.'s 19th birthday, a light came down from the sky, entering his bedroom, this light turned out to be a woman, she revealed herself to be Celena, an angel of Photos sent to tell him of his purpose, she told him about his past life as an angel, and how Photos convinced Chrono, the god of time, to give him his ability, so to help him in his quest, even though she still didn't know what his quest pertained to, Celena told him that his quest would be something he'd have to discover on his own to reclaim his wings and halo. T.C. accepted this task, but wanted at least a bit of information for such a high order, he asked if his siblings were up in heaven, however, Celena told him that they weren't dead at all, this filled T.C. with hope and resolve, and as one last gift, Celena gave him the wonderspade, an unbreakable shovel blessed with holy magic, with all that, T.C. bid his mother farewell, and set out in the world to find his siblings, find the purpose of his quest, and treat those around him with love and kindness.
