Happy gay pride month everyone!
Visual description: On the viewers left is Tally age 15, a reddish greyed brown unicorn with white blanket appaloosa markings, a white sock marking on her left hind hoof and white down her face across her muzzle she holds the lesbian flag, a pink rainbow, in her mouth standing facing center and foward her teal mane curled down. she blushes her blue eyes facing down towards the flag. In her mane are two golden round bells, a single heart charm of the same gold color is attached to a silver bracelet on her front right hoof and on the back on is a rainbow colored band. on the viewers right is the much more excited looking filly, saphy age 12, a blue pegasus filly white ears sock markings and appaloosa markings. on her front left leg she wears a rainbow band like tally's. in her short blue mane is a bow that is black grey white and purple with a heart at the center that is pink yellow and blue. this matches the flag she holds in her right wing, held high by the feather on the end of her wing, this is a panromantic ace flag. behind them is a pastel rainbow pride flag and in darker rainbow colors above them it says "Happy Pride Month"
Tally does not represent me but her identity recently realizing she likes girls not boys, is very me so she seemed the right story oc to include.
While the young character saphy does not know enough about the subject to yet know she is ace, here she represents me, panromantic ace, leaning homoromantic. Of course some people this age do know enough about the subject to know they are ace. If that is you let me just say your identity is valid don't let anyone say otherwise.

A most meaningful and touching piece, Saphy. I'm quite glad you put some self-ownership into it, too, as it makes anyone viewing it know you'd be a safe person to talk to about the topic. *Hugs*
Always such a big heart, Saphy. Way to show pride while aiding in instilling more to those who may feel it not possible to feel 'pride' in themselves for being different.

I had to put myself in I came out only last year as preferring (or even liking at all) girls just under a year ago oddly first (not counting to myself which wasn't much earlier) to a group of friends at school then to my mom..on the night of pride she had taken me the day before just thinking I was there as ace.
I'm just glad you can be open about it, Saphy. It's not easy but your bravery in sharing your feelings will certainly help others feel better about themselves, too.
I remember how long it took me to openly be cool with being a diaper lover / little. It was so scary but so glad I did as I've felt so much better knowing I can 'accept' myself. I feel my openness helps others and, well, that's win!

*Shrugs* Perhaps because it's far harder to look inward than outward?
I remember people telling me I was 'great at this' and 'amazing for that' but never truly believing it myself. It always felt like what I did everyone could do. It truly takes a lot to be able to say, "I am special because I can do this and should be proud for that." :)
What do you think?
