Dragons do not pass their genes on much like the other races of Ephalon. There is an inherent chance that an entirely new subspecies of dragon can come forth from a bonding.
One day a miracle birth happened from an abandoned egg considered to be dead. The mysterious dragon child later to be known as Celestus, held a power unlike any had seen before. She grew up alone most of her youth fending day to day for survival.
