People seemed really impressed with the frog type character I drew a few days back so I decided to try for another herp.

The reference I used he had a longish tail but I see what you mean, the tail does seem a bit long compared to the one at school and even a little long compared to my reference gecko. XD
Thank you for the critique, I am going to try more reptiles and amphibians which is way out of my comfort zone and critique is never a hindrance to me doing good on them.
