There are lots and lots and lots of friends I've been meaning to draw something for for ages and ages. Here's one of them - the ever-friendly, ever-funny Berto!
Berto was looking forward to a day as a cub, playing with the other little ones under the watchful eye of Raikan. But when Rai was called away for a little while, Berto volunteered to take over the caretaker duties, and with a twist of his magic DNA Translator Ring he transformed into his grown-up skoot (skunk-raccoon-cat) form.
Zee-Zee knew Berto was hoping not to end up on diaper duty, though, so he was extra-careful to run to the potty when he needed to go poopies and not do it in his pull-up. He feels very proud of himself for making Berto's life easier, although Berto's thinking that if the little squirrel was wearing a diaper he could've waited ten minutes for Raikan to change him when he got back...

That's why I crafted my anti-odor spell. It doesn't actually eliminate stinky stuff in the air, but rather is a sensory illusion that makes it so anything you'd rather not smell, you don't. And unlike chemical or physical methods of accomplishing the same (like a clothespin), it doesn't suppress your ability to smell other things. Only problem is... if it's turned on all the time, you can't smell if a cub is stinky and needs a change, so it's best to turn it on only DURING the change (or in the case of clever big squirrels, emptying out the potty and helping him wipe).
It's actually not all that difficult to extend the concept of a visual illusion like invisibility into other senses like smell.

Thank you! I've found that if I analyze magic in a scientific way, it becomes much more useful because I can figure out clever ways to make use of it! Because really, it's just another piece of the physical universe like gravity or electricity, just one that clever minds can control much more directly, and make look much more spooky!
Nooo! No diapies! I'm helping the grown-ups by being potty-trained! I woulda gone on the big potty, only we're at Rai's and I don't have my special seat and it's kind of big and scary... but the important thing is nobody needs to change my diaper! Well, except that I wet my pull-up a little bit, but that doesn't really count. ^.^

Very cute pic Zee-Zee. You can tell what my little buddy Anthony thinks (being almost as big on diapers as Lig) but Nate is still ever the supportive friend.
(Nathaniel the chimera developed a good trick for changes. He focuses energy into his nostrils to zap any particles of smell as they enter while he changes somebody.)
