Why am I wearing socks?

Proposed by someone based on the fact that I have never once drawn my character in socks (which also inspired me to sketch the quick sketch last night). So haha, I draw'd!
I decided to not be lazy this time, taking my time and trying to properly draw everything, and did so for the better part of 40+ minutes with many re-renditions of segments. I think it turned out awesome, though I still can't get the face/muzzle right!

I suggest moving the nose, just the nose itself, a little tiny bit further up against the edge of the line of the mussel! then it looks like it's pointing its mussel where you intended! I know you did because of the eyes at that angle yet the mussel is pointing directly at the viewer! Maybe this would help, oh and not mandatory but I also suggest making a line at the bottom between the two eyes curving a bit up to show the mussel starts but if that is not your style then don't worry about it
