Raid has a pretty rough past. To make a long story short, he wound up loosing three of his children and his first love.
With Lynne, he's been able to start anew and grab ahold of a love he never thought possible.
Loriana is the outcome of that love
This picture touches me in so many ways, mainly because I view Lynne and Raid kind of as myself and my husband, so for them to have a child gives me hope that we can overcome our own fertility issues one day and have our own.

The old park bench creaked slightly as Raid leaned back, one arm stretched along the backrest, his tail swishing lazily beneath him. The sun filtered through the trees in warm, lazy beams, wrapping the clearing in soft light. Spring had come early, and with it, the laughter of children, the chirp of birds, and the unmistakable, sticky joy of ice cream.
Next to him, their daughter sat with her legs swinging freely above the cobblestones, a big chocolate ice cream cone clutched in both paws. Her dress was slightly rumpled from play, and a ribbon trailed from her blonde curls like a banner of victory. Her tongue peeked out, focused, carefully chasing a drip running down the cone before it reached her fingers.
“You’re gonna lose that battle, pup,” Raid said with a low chuckle, nudging her gently with his elbow.
She stuck out her tongue at him, grinning. “Nuh-uh! I'm winning! Look!”
Raid leaned in, pretending to inspect the cone. “Hmm. Looks like it’s melting faster than you can eat it. Emergency backup might be required.” He opened his mouth exaggeratedly, as if ready to take a big bite.
“Nooo!” she squealed, pulling the treat closer to her chest and twisting away, laughing. “It’s mine!”
He laughed, the sound rumbling deep in his chest, and ruffled her hair affectionately. “Alright, alright. I wouldn’t steal from my own pup.”
She looked up at him then, eyes bright and sticky-chocolate smile wide. “Mama says I have your tail.”
Raid looked down at the fluffy tuft swaying behind her and smirked. “You’ve got her eyes, my tail, and both our stubbornness. Dangerous combo.”
They sat in silence for a moment, the kind that only comes between people who don’t need words to feel close. The breeze stirred the leaves overhead. A dog barked in the distance. And the little girl licked her ice cream like it was the most important mission in the world.
This bench, this day—it was nothing grand. But to Raid, it was everything.
