I took inspiration for this picture from Alphonse Mucha's art nouveau style,
as well as from the historic painting
"Fighting at the Hotel de Ville"
by Jean Victor Schnetz.
Among the multitude of things I love but haven't taken time to draw fanart of exists the timeless classic which is The Rose of Versailles.
Lady Oscar is pretty much all I strive to be as a woman,
except I'll probably never be as stylish as her haha
I'm usually all about good guys and stories with happy endings,
but Oscar x André is one of my OTPs and so tragic. </3
Speaking of OTPs, used my favourite tools,
which is a mixture of
pencils, markers, white gel pen, gold pen,
and I will tweak it some more after scanning
with things that don't scan all that well. ♥
