This is my first product prototype. The finished piece will be a plastic resin mold that crafters will be able to push or pour materials like clay into. The result is a 2.5” face that can be painted, covered with cloth, or used in all sorts of craft projects.

And the process for anyone wondering:
Initially sculpted a full head from paperclay. Cut it in half and scanned it in 3D. Had the scanned point cloud data cleaned, (by a wonderful and talented individual.) Took the result made it symmetrical and did some further cleaning and prepwork. Had the CNC mill carve this out of wax so that a rubber mold could reproduce the form. And the intended result is to pour resin into the rubber mold to make resin molds.

At the moment used the very last of the silicone rubber to at least capture the face and will have to wait for more supplies to come in before a full rubber mold and resin products can be produced.
