You know what's bintuwrong about them? It's that they smell like movie theater popcorn. I could never wrap my head around that one

Heck yeah they do, you could smell it on one half of the con suite floor at last FWA (Conservator's Center was the designated charity, and brought Jerry Binturong with them, I think because he was fairly sedate and their best travel-able resident.)

I mean....con suite...the lobby floor that had the zoo and the board/video game rooms and the con charity room. The lobby area, you could smell the popcorn smell about halfway across.

Of course, I think most people just assumed someone had wandered through with popcorn! XD

A Binturong!!! You don't see much art of them, but I always thought they were such cool animals! Plus I've heard they smell like corn chips! :) Anyway, this is a great piece! I love the detail in the fur and those eyes! Very cool! Loving the title as well. ;)

Its funny. Ive seen more than one comment about them smelling like popcorn.
I wonder how many people heard that from the Kratt brothers on Zabumafoo!

I heard it from a guide at the Conservator's Center. Plus, if you've ever been around a binturong, it's pretty obvious.

I'm not familiar with the Kratt brothers. However, I do have a background of care-taking/rehabilitation for various African mammals. I also worked with tigers for a time. While working with the tigers, one of the animals I was introduced to happened to be a binturong. It's true! They actually do smell like buttered popcorn.
