So I kinda made my own imaginary tiger boyfriend. Whatever, shut-up >_> He'll have a proper ref sheet soon, but here's an introduction.
My watch read 10:45 as I passed the Biology building. Alan would be wrapping up class soon, surely. I
shuddered in the brisk spring air and hugged myself for warmth. This is not reptile weather. My
walking slowed a bit as I imagined stealthily ducking into the Biology building, interrupting Alan's
class, and taking him somewhere private. It would be a stupid and risky gesture, but the thought of it
put a smile on my snout regardless. I shambled on toward parking lot.
I had barely cleared the Biology building before I was smothered by a great force from behind. I knew
instantly what it was and felt stupid for not being wary of it.
“Gaaahhh, every time.” I say, feeling a rush of emotions. Relief, excitement, and embarassment among
them. Doctor Alan Clawson holds me tightly in his arms and chuckles softly.
“You're so easy.”
“No. You're just a tiger.” I say as I regain my composure. Every once in a while Alan will startle me.
Just rarely enough so that I have time to forget about the nasty feline habit. He must have spotted my
approach and planned his attack.
I'm so relieved to see Alan that I momentarily forget our surroundings. I melt into his chest and borrow
his warmth.
“No class today?” I ask.
“No Mammology 101 anyway. The Bio department rescheduled the second Advancements in
Interspecial Gene Therapy seminar to this morning. Only two students came to class so I told them to
pack it up.” Alan leans in and rubs his fluffy chin on my neck. “Now I'm really, really bored.”
“Doctor, you realize we're in public?” I say, lifting one of his huge arms off my shoulder. He allows
this, but grumbles under his breath. As I turn to face him he shifts easily into his professional mask,
standing straight and impersonal. Thankfully a majority of the science students are attending the
seminar and weren't able to witness the doctor pouncing on me. I'm sure he thought of this before
taking the chance. Alan is young and fresh off of his PhD while I am returning to ZU for my Masters in
Biology. We're consenting adults, but Alan says the administration frowns on student, professor
relationships. Alan is under the microscope in any case given the exaggerated rumors of his
promiscuity.
“So, will I be seeing you tonight for a viewing of Fate of The Furryous please?” Alan says. His brown
eyes remain soft and open to me while the rest of his posture is stern.
“Of course. I need to find out what in Zootopia could cause Vin Weasel to turn on his family.” I say
promping a laugh from us both. “Actually you know what? Crap. I have a report I should finish for
McOtters. I hate that course. Ehhh, I can put it off for tomorrow.” Alan is displeased.
“Nope, incorrect.” He raises his paw. “You're struggling in biochem, I know. Stay in and finish that
report tonight. Please?”
“Boooo. You can't tell me what to do dad.” I deflate a bit, but I know that he only has my best interests
in mind.
“Ace that thing and we can text about this weekend.” He takes a step closer. I don't want to
conspicuously gaze into his eyes so I take furtive glances. Goodbyes are difficult when we have to act
so indifferently. “I was hoping we could have another... private lesson after the movie, hehe.” He leans
in quickly and plants a kiss on my forehead. The gall of him. He's already out of reach before I can
think to slap his arm.
“Would you get out of here? You are such a troublemaker!” I say, blushing and backing away.
“Bye Roy. Good luck.” He smiles before turning to the biology building. I watch him until his striped
tail swishes out of view.
“This guy is going to be the death of me I swear.”
