Now, I know what some of you lovely watchers might be thinking- "But, Ashley, weren't you just on about the constitution in your last posting? Why hit on it again?"

Well, lovely watcher- and rest assured, I know you're lovely. My watchers are definitely some fine-ass-muthafuckahs- as you're likely aware, I am a Satanist and a member of The Satanic Temple. The Temple recently became embroiled in a bit of a kerfuffle regarding Arkansas lawmakers and the placement of a monument of our figure, The Baphomet, on the capitol grounds. Despite another religious monument being put up in the same space, ours was denied after some potentially shady maneuvers on local legislators parts.

This issue has fired up all manner of conversation across the strata of society, both online and in person. Many people are interested in this issue and are wise to be so as it pertains to their own rights to religious autonomy within their country and the government's capacity to encroach upon said autonomy.

Many persons are not as well-informed as they would like to be and thankfully seek out the resources available to the public. As most of the documentation relevant to the issue is readily available to view, preserved in it's original form, even, there is little room for misinformation or miscommunication.

Unfortunately, many persons both prideful and unscrupulous would seek to further their own agendas by deliberately misrepresenting the facts or outright lying to persons whom they know are uninformed, easily cowed or easily swayed by fallacies in reasoning and appeals to emotion, nature or simple peer pressure.

It is up to US, lovely watcher, YOU, ME and EVERYONE, to stand united for our rights as citizens of this nation and hold fast against those who would hold tyranny over others. We do NOT live in a theocracy, nor a theocratic oligarchy, no matter what some insidious persons will try to tell you. We do not live in a country built upon religious doctrine and if we stay informed and involved we never will.

I've laid out here the basic framework of the rights you currently hold, assuming you are both a legal adult and a citizen of the United States of America. Further resources re available to you both online and at your local library. If available, I would definitely recommend the latter as there is far less chance for the misdirection and bullying of cretinous persons to poison your efforts.

Should you be of the mindset to wish to continue to rail against your own rights and protections in the name of pedantry or a misguided sense of tribalism, please try to accept the harm you are causing to both yourself and your fellow citizens, if not the future of your nation.
