well it i do use it for the purpose of how strong an action it is and how well it works with high power ammo, the jamming issue is also not there thanks to not being made from factory reject and mismatching force-fit parts that propagated the toggle lock jamming myth, the P08 was used for such a long time because it worked very well and antique examples with new springs will reliably feed NATO standard +P but stovepipe with normal ammo
comparable cost, modern armies outfit every soldier with a sidearm
i use the ACE for a much smaller group and it fills a role of heavy sidearm or light primary weapon while maintaining a more compact action compared to common blowback SMGs and machine pistols without sacrificing the barrel length needed for accuracy or full use of the powder's energy or risking short stroking bolts that recoil and return to battery too fast to pick up ammo from the mag

ahh. I see, from what I heard as well, the luger's action also didn't fare well when used for rapid fire either but then again, I was reading the trivia from wolfenstein the new order's handgun 1960

lovely gun, but yeah the "row fire pistol" experiments didnt pan out, though there's no auto fire on the ACE and it acts more like a pistol carbine or heavy pistol, but its good to 200m and retains magnum-like power and armor defeating ability without sacrificing wounding capacity like smaller bore high velocity ammo
ahh, interesting. some of the weapons I think of tend to use cartridges that are either medium caliber with ammunition that fragments upon entering the target's body (an obvious violation of the Hague convention of 1899) are directed energy weapons that fire high energy lasers at ultrashort pulses (the resulting ablation is like an explosion) or more insidiously, fire exotic plasma that will superheat the water in a target to make them literally explode into a mist of vaporized water and denatured proteins
well pulses are just obvious to bypass the safe sustained output level of any DEW, pulsed form used safely can have double or even triple the output of sustained mode and suffer no ill effects beyond maybe a refire time needed to cool between pulses
but for conventional small arms i mostly deal in 7.65mm barrel to allow for interchangeability to some degree in, such as the classic russian technique of using rejected rifle barrels to make SMGs

that same technique used by the Russians is used by a faction I have in my mind. Their leader's ideology regarding the symbolism of the mirror led to her conclusion that the enemy must be fought with their own tactics, weapons, ideology and even their own comrades. a feat achieved by capturing and surgically augmenting captured infantry into cybernetic zombie like entities called "Raby" meaning "slaves" in her native language.
here is one such example which is also nicknamed "Kapinchovek" which translates into "blackberry person"
