So this song is about 80% finished, I think.
It has no percussive instruments yet. I've borrowed a drum machine of a friend, but I still have to learn how to use it, to step-record a drum track.
>final version coming soon!!! Stay tuned! X3
I'll put this into scraps, when I have a final version.
It's my first Metal/Rock-Song and my second composition at all.
So I hope you like it.
Program used: Guitar Pro 5.2

Thanks a ton!
Maybe I will use them, but I don't want to reject an opportunity to use that amazing drum machine. It's just so funny to fool around with that device. ^__^
It seems that you have another soundbank than I have. I've played aroung with the legend tones a bit. I will experiment with that, cuz they sound really nice, too. Thanks for the hint anyway!

I don't know much bout metal, since I'm quite new to it. I think the guitar-part sounds a bit like hard-rock, too.^^
All these guitar-effects freaked me out. I had to try them (all).^^
What do you think about the triplet-solo? I feel a bit doubtful about it.

Yeah, it had more of a hard rock vibe to it. Metal uses more palm muting and speed, especially in this genre. The keyboards and more obscure instruments usually carry the melody while the guitar and bass handle the harmonies and chords.
I liked the solo, it's not perfect, but it's a good start :D Folk metal actually doesn't have many guitar solos in it :P

You can either use the export-function of guitar pro (found in MENU>FILE>EXPORT>WAV...) to create a .WAV file and convert it to MP3 afterwards with a converting software (like CDEX)
Or you can use any recording software (like WavePad Sound Editor - 30 day trial) and simply play it on GP in the background while recording. Most of these progs can already create MP3s.
Either way, you have to change the Recording volume Settings and set the checkmark on "What you hear"/"Stereo-Mix" or sth like that, depending on you OS and/or sounddrivers.
I recorded it with a prof software, called "Cubase". But it is very difficult to handle.^^ WavePad is much easier.
