Ye, pretty much.
It looks a little vague, but Offense/Defense is sorta really a mix of what their actual stats would be like as well as what their skill kit involves, whether it be more attack based or support based.
Magic/Tech is their magical prowess and ability to deal with tech-based enemies and hazards respectively.
Melee/Range is simply their preference on the field as well as having any special abilities for said types of weapons. Chase is extremely balanced as he's sorta a typical rogue with twin daggers, has a pistol for range, and a sniper for far support.
